Honoring Parents

Honoring parents is one of the greatest values emphasized in Islam. Allah commands believers to treat their parents with kindness and respect, placing obedience to them in what is right among the highest acts of worship after devotion to Him. This includes speaking gently, serving them, caring for them, praying for them, and striving to bring them happiness. Islam also warns against disrespecting parents because of its harmful effects on both individuals and society.
