♦️ The Pillars of Faith (Arkan al-Iman)
As-salamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh (peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you), dear brothers. I hope you are well. Today, we will learn about the pillars of faith.
The pillars of faith are the fundamental principles upon which faith is based.
Every Muslim must firmly believe in these pillars without doubt. There are six pillars. Today, we will briefly introduce them, and later we will explain each one in detail because of their great importance.
To believe that Allah is the Creator of the entire universe, that He controls and manages its affairs, and that He alone is worthy of worship.
To believe that the angels are creatures whom Allah created from light. They worship Allah and do not disobey His commands, and among them are angels whom Allah has assigned specific duties.
To believe that Allah revealed Books to His Messengers, such as the Torah, the Gospel (Injil), and the Qur’an, and to believe that the Qur’an is the final revealed Book.
To believe that Allah sent Messengers to call people to worship Him alone, including Abraham (Ibrahim), Moses (Musa), Jesus (Isa), and others, peace be upon them.
You must also believe that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the final Prophet and Messenger.
To believe that there is life after death and that Allah will resurrect all people and hold them accountable for their deeds, and that Paradise is real and Hellfire is real.
The believers whom Allah admits into Paradise will dwell therein, while those who die in disbelief will be among the people of Hellfire.
To believe that Allah decreed everything before it occurs, and that He knows what has happened, what is happening, and what will happen, because His knowledge encompasses everything and He knows the unseen.
You must also believe that everything that happens in the universe occurs by Allah’s will and permission.
