Lesson Five 5️⃣

♦️ The Second Rak‘ah of Prayer

???????? Assalamu Alaikum, dear brothers ☺️. I hope you are well. Insha’Allah, we will continue our lesson about prayer. In the previous lesson, we explained with pictures how to perform the first Rak‘ah. Today, we will learn how to perform the second Rak‘ah.

???? The Second Rak‘ah

The second Rak‘ah is performed in the same way as the first Rak‘ah. After the second prostration, we sit and recite the Tashahhud, which we will learn and memorize together. After that, we conclude the prayer with the Taslim.

???? How to End the Prayer with Taslim

???? Turn your head to the right and say:

“Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah”
(Peace and Allah’s mercy be upon you).

???? Then turn your head to the left and say:

“Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah”
(Peace and Allah’s mercy be upon you).

By saying the Taslim to the right and then to the left, the prayer is completed.

???? We have now completed a prayer consisting of two Rak‘ahs.

????️ Our next lesson will explain how to perform a prayer consisting of three Rak‘ahs, such as the Maghrib Prayer.

???? Assessment:
Practice what you have learned by performing the prayer, and make sure you have understood and mastered the steps of the two Rak‘ahs.
