Peace be upon you, dear brothers. I hope you are doing well.
Today, Allah willing, we will talk about Paradise. This is the subject of our lesson today.
Paradise in Islam is the abode that Allah has prepared for His righteous believing servants after death, resurrection, and judgment, as a reward for their faith and righteous deeds.
Paradise is one of the matters of the unseen. We cannot know its true nature and details except through the Noble Quran and the authentic Sunnah of the Prophet.
Paradise is an abode of perfect bliss, pure and free from all deficiencies. Its blessings are far greater than the human mind can imagine.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated that Allah Almighty said:
“I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and what has never occurred to a human heart.”
Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite, if you wish:
﴿فَلَا تَعۡلَمُ نَفۡسٞ مَّآ أُخۡفِيَ لَهُم مِّن قُرَّةِ أَعۡيُنٖ جَزَآءَۢ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ﴾
“No soul knows what joy is kept hidden for them as a reward for what they used to do.”
[As-Sajdah: 17]
This means that no one knows the extent of the blessings and happiness that Allah has prepared for the believers as a reward for their righteous deeds.
The people of Paradise will live there eternally, without death, and Paradise will never perish or cease to exist.
There will be nothing in Paradise to disturb their happiness, such as fatigue, hardship, or deprivation. Its people will neither suffer hunger nor thirst. Rather, it is an abode of everlasting bliss and happiness.
We believe that Paradise exists now. Allah has prepared it for His righteous servants, and it will remain forever and never perish.
The people of Paradise will have servants attending to them. They will suffer neither extreme heat nor harmful cold. They will live in magnificent dwellings and great luxury, enjoying whatever food, drink, and other blessings they desire. They will also remain in everlasting youth.
In summary, human beings cannot fully imagine the reality of the blessings of Paradise. It contains what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and what has never occurred to a human heart.
All praise is due to Allah. The lesson is complete.
Does Paradise exist now?
